Notification of Collection, Processing, and Utilization of Personal Data by Securities and Futures Investors Protection Center.

In accordance with legal obligations under the Securities Investor and Futures Trader Protection Act and other relevant laws and regulations, the Securities and Futures Investors Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as "SFIPC") assists in handling civil disputes related to securities and futures (hereinafter referred to as "the Event") to collect, process, and utilize personal data in accordance with the law. In compliance with Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Data Protection Act. The following matters are hereby notified:

1. Purposes of collection

To fulfill the statutory duties stipulated in the Securities Investor and Futures Trader Protection Act and other relevant laws and regulations, and to assist in the handling of civil disputes related to securities and futures.

In accordance with the "Classification Table of Specific Purposes and Categories of Personal Data under “Personal Data Protection Act" announced by the Ministry of Justice, SFIPC collects, processes, and utilizes personal data of investors for the following "specific purposes" with the corresponding codes: 054 (Legal Services), 060 (Financial Disputes Resolution), 063 (Collection, processing, and utilization of personal data by non-governmental agencies in accordance with statutory duties), 069 (Contracts, similar contracts, or other legal relations matters), 091 (Consumer Protection), 166 (Securities, futures, securities investment trust, and advisory-related businesses).

2. Categories of Personal Data

Name, gender, contact information, and any other personal data necessary for fulfilling the specific purposes of this event as required by SFIPC.

According to the "Classification Table of Specific Purposes and Categories of Personal Data under the Personal Data Protection Act" announced by the Ministry of Justice, the "Personal Data Category" codes are: C001 (identifiers), C002 (financial identifiers), C003 (identifiers in government data), C011 (personal descriptions), C021 (household status), C022 (marital history), C023 (details of any other family members), C031 (residences and facilities), C032 (properties), C033 (immigration status), C034 (travel and other migration details), C081 (income, earnings, assets, and investments), C094 (compensation).

3. Duration, Region, Recipients, and Methods of Utilization
  1. Duration: The period of retention for the specific purposes of collecting personal data, the period required by relevant laws or contracts, or the period necessary for SFIPC to fulfill its statutory duties (whichever is longest).
  2. Region: Within the country; the location of the parties involved in this event or where SFIPC carries out its business activities.
  3. Recipients: SFIPC; the parties involved in this event; mediation committee; courts, prosecutors' offices, National Taxation of Bureau, and other investigative authorities or financial regulatory agencies with legal investigation powers or exercising public authority and their designated units.
  4. Methods: In both digital and physical formats.
4. Rights and Methods To Exercise under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act

Regarding the personal data held by SFIPC, investors may exercise the following rights through written notification:

  1. Inquiries, requests for access, or for copies. SFIPC may charge necessary costs in accordance with the law.
  2. Requests for supplementations or corrections; however, investors must provide appropriate explanations in accordance with the law.
  3. Requests to cease collection, processing, or utilization, or deletion; however, if it is necessary for SFIPC to perform its statutory duties under the law, it may not comply with the investors’ requests.
5. The Impact of Refusing to Provide Personal Data

Investors may choose whether to provide relevant personal data at their will.

However, if investors refuse to provide necessary personal data, SFIPC would be unable to assist any further.
