How do investors get informed of the SFIPC’s acceptance announcements?

When the SFIPC decides to accept a claim, SFIPC announces the information on the website and in major daily and evening newspapers. Additionally, the SFIPC asks all securities firms in writing for their assistance when investors inquire about the case. Investors are advised to pay close attention to the announcements.
How to request application forms?

The application forms usually contain multiple pages. If SFIPC faxes the application forms, there would often be omissions or unclear information of the application forms. Therefore, it is recommended to request the application forms in the following ways:
A. Investors may download the application forms from the SFIPC website. (http://www.sfipc.org.tw).
B. Investors may go to any securities firms and request the application forms.
C. Investors may go to the SFIPC in person and request the application forms. (Address: 12F., No.178, Sec 3, Mincyuan E. Rd., Taipei 105, Taiwan, R.O.C / Office Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm)
For cases handled by the SFIPC, except for filling out application forms, are investors required to pay any fees? Regardless of the outcome of the lawsuit in the future, are investors required to pay attorney fees again?

When applying for a claim, investors are not required to pay any fees; if the court pronounces a judgment in the future and the investor are entitled to compensation, the SFIPC may deduct the necessary litigation-related cost and expenses (including the court fees and related postage fees...etc.) from the compensation. SFIPC distributes the rest compensation to the investors in proportion to the amount which the investors claimed. If the case is dismissed and the investors do not receive compensation, the investors are not required to pay any extra fees.
