New notice regarding Tittot’s share price manipulation case: SFIPC now taking applications from investors seeking compensation in Tittot’s share price

(TAIPEI) Chou Shu-jen and Mai Kuei-hsiang allegedly manipulated the share price of Tittot Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Tittot, stock code: 9949) from June 17 to September 27, 2010, in violation of the Securities and Exchange Act. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office has filed a lawsuit, and the court has made a guilty judgment. The Securities and Futures Investors Protection Center (abbreviated as SFIPC) is accepting applications from good-willed investors and preparing to file a compensatory civil lawsuit on their behalf. Those who are eligible should get all the documents ready and send them to SFIPC by June 10, 2013 (as shown on postmark). According to the indictment by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, defendants Chou Shu-jen and Mai Kuei-hsiang manipulated Tittot’s share price between June 17 and September 27, 2010, an act that impeded fairness of trade and hurt investors’ rights.

 

    Eligibility requirements:

Those who purchased Tittot shares in the market between June 17 (inclusive) and September 27 (inclusive), 2010 (including purchases to cover shorts) and incurred losses even after gains from selling the shares during the above period have been accounted for.
